This started out as something completely different in my mind, but this is what it blossomed into. There is a black sparkly background (not that you can really tell), then I splattered over it (using the drinking straw method) the orange, then red, and I finished it off with some white stitches. I did these to compliment my Away Team nails. I could use a bit of practice with perspective, but I think for a first try they came out pretty nicely. I started with white nail pen, but it proved too shaky, so I switched to the tried and true, simply, easy flowing, acrylic paint. Polishes Used: Black - Orly #40484 Liquid Vinyl White acrylic paint These are inspired from one of my favorite scenes in Seinfeld where Jerry is dreaming that he put Uncle Leo in prison (I'll try to attach the video below). In the scene, Uncle Leo is doing pull-ups and he has JERRY and HELLO as knuckle tattoos. The scene is at 0:27 I decided to do two accent nails based off my tattoo. I accomplished this look with a variety of blue acrylic paints and mixing up my own pinks, and a variety of liner brushes. I'm sure you could do this with nail polish if you have the right colors. After digging through Facebook, I got a little inspiration from a poster for a friend's band (pictures are at the bottom of this post) . I did these entirely with acrylic paints (except for a plain base coat). I had to go over the white and yellow twice and that caused the edges to be a little jagged and everything is pretty bumpy overall. Here they are after one coat of Seche Vite: And here they are after I decided I wasn't digging the bumpy look and added glitter to help smooth everything out and hide some of the jaggedness. They look better in person, trust me. I couldn't decide what to do with my nails on this lazy Sunday afternoon when my eyes drifted over to the salt & pepper shakers I brought back from Amsterdam and BOOM! Inspiration! It's quite fitting too since I've been missing Amsterdam as of late. ...Now I just hope that the people at work don't think they are "XXX" porn nails. Tools Used:

I speckled them like rocks and I was going to paint a giant dire wolf running across them. As I finished the head on my ring finger, I realized I had angled it such that there was no room for the body and the head didn't look like a head anyway. So I painted over it with black and silver glitter and I think they turned out pretty rockin'! See how I got the splatter effect below! So to get the splatter effect, I first painted my nails white. Then I watered down some black acrylic paint. Not too watery, but enough that it wasn't clumpy. Then I wrapped my thumb in aluminum foil in a way that gave me a ridge along the bottom of my thumb. This way, I was able to flick the bristles of the toothbrush without ruining the paint on my thumb. Tools Used:
