This started out as something completely different in my mind, but this is what it blossomed into. There is a black sparkly background (not that you can really tell), then I splattered over it (using the drinking straw method) the orange, then red, and I finished it off with some white stitches. After I posted my Star Trek nails to Facebook, I got an amazing suggestion to add Worf's baldric. So here it is! I taped off the area for the baldric, and used one of my Mash stamping plates for the chain pattern. Finished it up with a few minimalistic badges with a dotting tool, and voila! Worf'ed! Tools Used: Scotch tape Mash plate #41 Polishes Used: Dark - Sally Hansen X-treme Wear #22 Gunmetal Light - Sally Hansen X-treme Wear #220 Celeb City I did these to compliment my Away Team nails. I could use a bit of practice with perspective, but I think for a first try they came out pretty nicely. I started with white nail pen, but it proved too shaky, so I switched to the tried and true, simply, easy flowing, acrylic paint. Polishes Used: Black - Orly #40484 Liquid Vinyl White acrylic paint Yup, I've gotten into Star Trek:TNG. I'm currently on season 3 marathoning my way through while doing my nails. Here's my representation of the typical away team: Riker, Data, Geordie, Worf, an Dr. Crusher. I recently got my order of MoYou nail stamping plates which included a sci-fi themed plate, and this was a good design to use to break them in! I took pictures of them with a flash and one without and I couldn't decide which one I liked best. So here's both! Tools Used:

I saw them and after seeing the Freddie Mercury/Queen plates, I had to have them! But of course I couldn't order just one :P So here are the 4 that I carefully picked out.
They are very high quality, well cut, but they do use a larger stamp then Konad (it's not a huge issue). moyou.co.uk This weekend was the Minneapolis Comic Con. It was quite the spectacle. I picked up some bitching prints, saw some crazy (and lazy) cosplayers, oh, and I got my picture taken with Nathan Fillion! Obviously I had to paint my nails to match the occasion, and after watching the entire Firefly series while I was off work being sick, naturally I decided to do Firefly inspired nails. I had to keep it simple because I still was not feeling well. So, I ended up with a gradient of Jayne Cobb's hat and did a simple line drawing of said hat. This picture was also taken after a few days of wear. Tools Used:

I really just wanted to try my new neon pink and I have been doing too many simple gradients lately, so I jazzed it up a bit with some sparkly triangles. I believe this picture was taken a few days of wear. Tools Used:

In the scene, Uncle Leo is doing pull-ups and he has JERRY and HELLO as knuckle tattoos. The scene is at 0:27 I decided to do two accent nails based off my tattoo. I accomplished this look with a variety of blue acrylic paints and mixing up my own pinks, and a variety of liner brushes. I'm sure you could do this with nail polish if you have the right colors.
